About the Author

Meet Erin Logue

My name is Erin Logue, and I’m proud to call Northwest Ohio home. This region—and the neighboring beauty of Michigan—has shaped much of who I am as a person and as a writer. From Ohio’s national park to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, the Great Lakes region offers endless inspiration through its landscapes, history, and sense of adventure.

I’ve always been drawn to storytelling, whether through words, education, or photography. Travel—especially close-to-home exploration—has fueled my creativity. Hiking wooded trails, setting up camp under open skies, paddling waterways, or discovering a small-town festival all offer moments worth capturing and sharing.

Rooted in Family. Grounded in Nature.

About Me & Our Family

First and foremost, I am a proud mother of three adult sons—two of whom are my stepchildren. Raising all three together was an adventure filled with growth, lessons, and love. Like most parents, we didn’t get everything right, but my husband and I are incredibly proud of the kind, capable men they’ve become.

One of the greatest compliments we receive is hearing how kind, helpful, and dependable our sons are. Knowing that others see those qualities in all three of them is one of our biggest accomplishments. We’re also blessed with a wonderful daughter-in-law and grateful to have played a role not only in raising our children, but also many of their friends and neighborhood kids along the way.

Book 1

The Day My Dad Got Remarried, I Was Scared

Change can feel overwhelming—especially through the eyes of a child.

The Day My Dad Got Remarried, I Was Scared is a tender, honest children’s story that follows nine-year-old Bobby as he faces one of the biggest changes in his life: his dad remarrying. Already navigating life between two homes and the emotions that come with divorce, Bobby struggles with fear, uncertainty, and the worry that things he loves might disappear.

As wedding plans unfold—tuxedo fittings, rehearsals, and quiet moments of reflection—Bobby learns that it’s okay to feel scared, sad, and unsure. Through patience, reassurance, and small acts of connection, he begins to understand that love doesn’t vanish when families change—it grows.

Written with warmth and empathy, this story gently explores blended families, remarriage, and big emotions in a way young readers can understand and relate to. It offers comfort, validation, and hope to children who may be facing similar transitions, reminding them that their feelings matter and that new beginnings can still honor the love they already know.

Book 2

My Stepmom Is a Police Officer

Being brave doesn’t always mean being fearless—it means knowing what to do when it matters most.

In My Stepmom Is a Police Officer, young readers meet eleven-year-old Bobby, a thoughtful and curious boy who finds himself in an unexpected emergency when he witnesses a serious car crash. With confusion, fear, and adrenaline rushing through him, Bobby must act quickly—but he’s not alone.

Guided by his stepmom, Sarah, an off-duty police officer, Bobby learns how to stay calm, call 911, and help others in a moment that truly tests his courage. As the situation unfolds, Bobby discovers that bravery can come from preparation, trust, and the support of family—especially blended families that may look different but are built on care and strength.

Life Outdoors

True Outdoors People

Our family lives for the outdoors. We love bicycling, hiking, boating, tubing, camping, campfires, and spending time with our dogs. Nature has always been a grounding force in our lives—a place where stories unfold naturally, lessons are learned quietly, and connections grow deeper.

Many of our best memories were made outside, surrounded by trees, water, and open skies. These experiences influence my writing and reflect the values of resilience, curiosity, and togetherness.
